The prerequisite of ACSM certification is that the candidate must have an active ScrumMaster certification and 12 months of Scrum Master work experience within the past 5 years.
If you already gained the CSM certification from the Scrum Alliance and 12 months of experience as a Scrum Master, attend the ACSM course and complete the course requirements to gain the license. You can take the course without meeting the needs. However, you need to complete 12 months of experience before accepting the license.
ACSM requires you to earn 30 SEUs within 2 years, in addition to paying the renewal fee. The renewal fee extends the credentials for a further period of 2 years from the date of the current expiration.
